Gorphenwyd! - oedd yr olaf air
  Ddolefai Iesu mād;
Gogwyddo'i ben a marw wnaeth,
  Mewn ing dan ŵ ei Dad.

Gorphenwyd! - fe fu farw Crist
  Dros feiau dynolryw;
Gorphenwyd iachawdwriaeth rad,
  Daw'r meirwon eto'n fyw.

Gorphenwyd! -
    darfu chwysu'r gwaed,
  A'r ing hyd angeu trist;
Gorchfygwyd holl elynion dyn,
  A chododd Iesu Grist.

Gorphenwyd! - diwedd ddaeth i'r ddeddf,
  Efengyl gras a gaed;
Hen bethau aethant heibio'n llwyr,
  Pob peth yn llewydd wnaed.

It is finished! - was the last word
  Esteemed Jesus would shout;
He bowed his head and die he did,
  In anguish under his Father's frown.

It is finished! - Christ died
  For the faults of humankind;
Finished was the free salvation,
  The dead will come alive again.

It is finished! -
    sweating the blood passed away,
  And the agony as far as sad death;
Overcome were all the enemies of man,
  And Jesus Christ arose.

It is finished! - an end came to the law,
  The gospel of grace was got;
Old things passed away completely,
  Every thing was made new.
