Jer. xii, 9. Sal. ix, 12.)
Gall Seion Duw gael trigo'n hir
Mewn byd fe1 'deryn brith,
Ond nid yn ofer a dí rym
Fydd ei gweddïau byth.
Y Barnwr cyfiawn g'od mewn pryd,
Yn borth i'r egwan daw;
Taranau'i lais
a wnant i'r balch
Mewn dychryn gilio draw.
Pan ymofyno ef am waed,
A chospi euog rai,
Caiff plant y cystudd
godi'u pen
A dechreu llawenhau.
Gall gorthrymderau lwyddo dro,
A Seion dan y dòn,
Ond drwg a da gant wel'd fod Duw
A ſarna'r ddaear gron.

Tonau [MC 8686]: |
Jer 12:9; Psa 9:12.)
Zion can dwell long
In the world like an outcast,
But not in vain or powerless
Shall her prayers ever be.
The righteous Judge shall arise in time,
As a gate for the weak he shall come;
The thunders of his voice
shall make the proud
In terror retreat yonder.
When he demands blood,
And the punishment of the guilty,
The children of affliction
shall raise their head
And begin to rejoice.
Tribulations may succeed for a while,
With Zion under the wave,
But evil and good shall get to see that God
Shall judge the round earth.
