Fy Mhrynwr cu mor oleu cair,
Fy holl ddyledswydd yn dy air;
Ond yn dy fywyd, cyfraith Duw
Sydd wedi'i thynnu 'maes i'r byw.
Fath wir, fath zel o'th eiddo ga'd,
Fath barch i 'wyllys pur dy Dad;
Fath gariad ac addfwynder llawn,
Dymunwn i pe'u meddu wnawn.
Mynyddau, nos, a'r oerllyd aer,
O'th wresog weddi'n
dystion cair;
O'th demtiad,
tyst fu'r anial le,
O'th ymdrech a'th or'chafiaeth gre'.
Bydd i mi'n batrwn; par im ddwyn
Mwy yma o'th
ddelw rasol fwyn;
A'r Barnwr arddel f'enw i 'mhlth
Dylynwyr glân yr Oen dros fyth.

Fy Mhrynwr cu! yn oleu cair
Fy holl ddyledswydd yn dy air;
Ond yn dy fuchedd sanctaidd di
Esampl gyflawn roir i mi.
Dy danllyd sel dros Arglwydd nef,
A'th ymostyngiad iddo ef,
Dy gariad a'th addfwynder di,
O na baent oll yn eiddof fi.
Nosweithiau oer, mynyddau sy
Yn dystion o'th weddiau di;
O'th demtiad,
tyst yw'r anial le,
O'th ymdrech lwyr
a'th goncwest gre'.
Rho nerth i'th ddylyn, Arglwydd mwyn,
Boed im' dy ddelw rasol ddwyn;
Ac yna gwn caf
le yn mhlith
Dylynwyr glân yr Oen dros byth.

My dear Redeemer what light is got,
For all my duties in thy word;
But in thy life, the law of God
Is drawn out to the living.
Such truth, such zeal of thine own is got,
Such respect for thy Father's pure will;
Such love and full gentleness,
I would wish that I would possess it.
Mountains, night and the chilly air,
To the warmth of thy praying as
testament are had;
To thy temptation,
the desert place was a witness,
To thy struggle, and thy strong conquest.
Be a pattern to me; continue to lead me
Evermore here by thy
gracious, gentle image;
And may the Judge own my name in amongst
The holy followers of the Lamb forever.

My dear Redeemer! in light is got
My whole duty in thy word;
But in thy holy lifestyle
A full example is given to me.
Thy fiery zeal for the Lord of heaven,
And thy submission to him,
Thy love and thy tenderness,
O that they all belonged to me.
Cold nights, mountains are
Witnesses of thy prayers;
Of thy temptation,
the desert place is witness,
Of thy complete struggle
and thy strong conquest.
Give strength to follow thee, dear Lord,
May thy gracious image lead me;
And then I know I shall
get a place amongst
The holy followers of the Lamb forever.

My dear Redeemer and my Lord,
I read my duty in your Word;
But in your life the law appears,
Drawn out in living characters.
Such was your truth, and such your zeal,
Such def'rence to your Father's will,
Such love, and meekness so divine,
I would transcribe and make them mine.
Cold mountains and the midnight air
Witnessed the fervour
of your prayer;
The desert your
temptations knew,
Your conflict and your vict'ry too.
Be thou my pattern; make me bear
More of your gracious
image here;
Then God the Judge shall own my name
Amongst the foll'wers of the Lamb.
