Fy enaid edrych tua'r nen

(Crist yn gorchfygu)
Fy enaid edrych tua'r nen,
Gwel Oen Duw laddwyd ar y pren,
  A'i waed yn llif
      i'r ddaear lawr,
  I'th ddwyn i maes o'r
      cystudd mawr.

Gorchfygodd Brenin nefoedd wen,
Dy holl elynion ar y pren;
  I'th gwrdd ni ddaw
      un gelyn mwy,
  Na ro'dd yr Iesu iddo glwy'.

Fy enaid, pwysa arno Ef,
Yn mhob cyfyngder tan y nef;
  Yr un a'th garodd
      cyn bod byd;
  A bery'n ffyddlawn it' o hyd.

Pan fyddwy'n profi eithaf grym,
Creulondeb fy ngelynion llym,
  Fy unig noddfa dan y nef,
  Dïogel yw ei haeddiant Ef.

Tonau [MH 8888]:
Ulm (Sabbath Hymn and Tune Book 1859)
Wartburg (<1875)

(Christ overcoming)
My soul, look toward the sky,
See the Lamb of God slain on the tree,
  With his blood a stream
      down to the earth,
  To bring thee out of the
      great tribulation.

The King of bright heaven overcame
All thine enemies on the tree;
  No more shall any enemy
      come to meet thee,
  That gave to Jesus his wound.

My soul, lean upon him,
In every strait under heaven;
  The one who loved thee
      before the world was;
  And shall remain faithful to thee always.

When I experience the extreme power,
The cruelty of my keen enemies,
  My only refuge under heaven,
  Safe is his merit.
