Fel plentyn gwan fy nefol Dad

(Duw ein hunig gynnorthwywr - Salm 73. 23-26,28.)
Fel plentyn gwan, fy nefol Dad,
  Yn wastad dan dy ofal,
Ymafael yn fy neheulaw,
  Yma a thraw i'm cynnal.

A'th gyngor hefyd boed i ti
  Fy nhywys i'n ddilysiant;
A chymmer fi ar ben fy nhaith
  I berffaith lân ogoniant.

Pwy, O fy Nuw, sydd gennyf fi,
  Ond ti, o fewn y nefoedd?
A chyd â thi ni cheisiaf neb
  Dros wyneb daear leoedd.

Fy nghnawd a'm calon i mi sy
  Yn pallu cymmorth beunydd;
Yn nerth i'm calon bydd, a'm rhan,
  A'm tarian yn dragywydd.

Fel plentyn gwan, fy nefol Dad,
  'Rwy'n wastad dan dy ofal;
Ymaflaist yn fy neheu-law,
  Yma a thraw i'm cynnal.

A'th gyngor etto y gwnai di
  Fy nhywys i'n ddilysiant;
A'm cym'ryd wnai,
    ar ben fy nhaith,
  I berffaith lân ogoniant.

Pwy gennyf sydd i'm cymmorth i,
  Fy Nuw, ond ti'n y nefoedd?
A chyda thi ni cheisiaf neb
  Dros wyneb daear leoedd.

Fy nghalon wan a'm cnawd i sy
  Yn pallu 'nghymmorth beunydd;
Ond nerth fy nghalon wyt,
    a'm rhan,
  A'm tarian yn dragywydd.

Peth da im' mwy,
    a gweddus yw,
  Nesâu at Dduw y nefoedd;
I osod ynddo'm gobaith cu,
  A thraethu ei weithredoedd.

[Mesur: MS 8787]

(God our only helper - Psalm 73:23-26,28).
Like a weak child, my heavenly Father,
  Constantly under thy care,
Take hold of my right hand,
  Here and there to support me.

With thy counsel also mayst thou
  Guide me unfailingly;
And take me at my journey's end
  To perfect, holy glory.

Who, O my God, have I,
  But thee, within heaven?
And beside thee I seek no-one
  Anywhere across the face of the earth.

My flesh and my heart to me are
  Failing help daily;
Be strength to my heart and my portion,
  And my shield eternally.

                 - - - - -

Like a weak child, my heavenly Father,
  I am constantly under thy care;
Thou hast taken hold of my right hand,
  Here and there to support me.

With thy counsel still thou dost
  Guide me unfailingly;
And thou shalt take me,
    at my journey's end,
  To perfect, holy glory.

Whom do I have to support me,
  My God, but thee in heaven?
And beside thee I seek no-one
  Anywhere across the face of the earth.

My weak heart and my flesh are
  Failing to support me daily;
But the strength of my heart thou art,
    and my portion,
  And my shield in eternally.

A good thing to me evermore,
    and worthy it is,
  To draw near to God in heaven;
To put in him my dear hope,
  And expound his works.
