Er myned oll yn gaeth

(Y Jubili)
  Er myned oll yn gaeth,
    A chyfeiliorni 'mhell;
  Trwy Iesu Grist fe ddaeth
    In' etifeddiaeth well;
Gwnaeth Iawn i'w Dad,
      a hedd i ni,
Trwy waed ei groes ar Galfari.

  Chwi garcharorion prudd,
    Dechreuwch lawenhau;
  Fe wawriodd arnom ddydd;
    Daeth Iesu i'n rhyddhau;
Trwy fuddugoliaeth Calfari
Fe ddaeth yr hyfryd Jubili.

  I gaethion Babilon
    Cyhoeddir llawn ryddhâd;
  Dychwelwch adre'n llon
    Chwi waredigol hâd;
Ennillodd Crist ein rhyddid ni,
Yn awr daeth blwyddyn Jubili.

  Aed sain Efengyl gras
    O gwmpas daear lawr;
  Doed pawb i brofi blas
    Yr iachawdwriaeth fawr;
I Sion wen doed
      torf ddiri'
Wrth sain pêr udgorn Jubili.

(The Jubilee)
  Although all becoming captive,
    And straying far;
  Through Jesus Christ there came
    To us a better inheritance;
He made Satisfaction to his Father,
      and peace to us,
Through the blood of his cross on Calvary.

  Ye sad prisoners,
    Begin to rejoice;
  Day dawned upon us;
    Jesus came to set us free;
Through the victory of Calvary
Came the delightful Jubilee.

  To the captives of Babylon
    Full freedom was announced;
  Return home cheerfully
    Ye delivered seed;
Christ won our freedom,
Now came the year of Jubilee.

  Let sound of a Gospel of grace go
    Around the earth below;
  Let all come to experience a taste
    Of the great salvation;
To bright Zion let an
      unnumbered multitude come
To the sweet sound of the Jubilee trumpet.
bright Zion :: worthy Zion
