Dyma Feibil annwyl Iesu,
Dyma rodd deheulaw Duw;
Dengys hwn y ffordd i farw,
Dengys hwn y ffordd i fyw;
Dengys hwn y golled erchyll
Gafwyd draw yn Eden drist;
Dengys hwn y ffordd i'r bywyd
Trwy adnabod Iesu Grist.
Feibil gwerthfawr! caiff dy eiriau
Gartref yn fy mynwes i;
Mae bendithion myrdd myrddiynau
Yn dy addewidion di;
Bu fy nghalon dlawd yn crwydro
Mewn anialwch sych a gwyw;
Nes i ti fy nhywys trwyddo
At geulannau afon Duw.
Cuddiaf d'eiriau yn fy nghalon -
Gwnaf yn ddyfnach nag erioed;
Byddi'n llewyrch i fy llwybrau,
Ac yn llusern i fy nhroed;
Cyfaill fyddi ar y ddaear
Erys drwy fy oriau brau;
Yn y nef am dragwyddoldeb
Bydd dy drysor yn parhau.
Yma rhedo'm myfyrdodau,
Ar drysorau mawr y gair;
Dawn ac iechyd i fy ysbryd,
Grym a bywyd i mi bair;
Mi anturia'r oll a feddaf
Ar y gair cadarnaf gwiw;
Cwyd fi fyny, ceidw f'enaid,
Mae fy nodded yn fy Nuw.
Gwell nag aur, a gwell nag arian,
Yw dy air, O Dduw, i mi;
Ymhyfrydu byddo f'enaid
Beunydd yn dy gyfraith di;
Rho oleuni, fel y gwelwyf
Bethau rhyfedd d'air o hyd:
Plyg f'ewyllys i'w ddylanwad,
Ato tyn fy serch a'm bryd.
Dysg i ninau, anwyl Iesu,
Chwilio'r Gair am danat Ti:
Drwy bob hanes, drwy bob adnod,
Dangos Di Dy Hun i ni;
Mil mwy melus
fydd ei ddarllen
Os Dy gwmni Di a gawn,
A chawn help i farw'n dawel
Wedi dysgu byw yn iawn.

Here is the Bible of dear Jesus,
Here is a gift from the right hand of God;
This sets forth the way to die,
This sets forth the way to live,
This sets forth the terrible loss
Sustained yonder in sad Eden;
This sets forth the way to the life
Through knowing Jesus Christ.
A precious Bible! Thy words may have
A home in my breast
A myriad myriad blessings are
In thy promises;
My poor heart was wandering
In a desert dry and wizened;
Until thou didst lead me through
To the banks of the river of God.
I will hide thy words in my heart -
I will do more deeply than ever before;
Thou shalt be as illumination to my paths,
And as a lantern to my foot;
A friend thou shalt be on the earth
Throughout my remaining fragile hours;
In heaven for eternity
Shall thy treasure endure.
Here would run my meditations,
On the great treasures of the word;
Strength and health to my spirit,
Power and life for me to endure;
I will venture all I possess
On the worthy firmest word;
It will raise me up, it will keep my soul,
My refuge is in my God.
Better than gold and better than silver,
Is thy word, O God, to me;
May my soul delight
Daily in thy law;
Give light, that I may see
Wonderful things of thy word always:
Bend my will to its influence,
To it draw my affection and my mind.
Teach us too, beloved Jesus,
To search the word for thee:
Through every story, through every verse,
Show thyself to us;
A thousandfold more sweet
shall be reading it
If thy company we have,
And get help to die quietly
Having learned to live aright.

This is Jesus' precious Bible, This the gift of God’s right hand; Teaching how to die triumphant, How to live His pure command; This reveals the loss we suffered When in Eden sin enticed; And it shows the way to glory If we follow Jesus Christ. Precious Bible! in my bosom Thy dear words a home shall find. Countless blessings are, with beauty, In Thy promises assigned; My poor heart once roamed a desert, Vast and dry, of withered sod, Till Thy guidance brought me through it To the living stream of God. I will hide Thy words within me Deep, where time cannot delete; Thou art light upon my pathway, And a lamp unto my feet; Friend Thou art on life's long journey Biding through my hours of care, And through heaven's eternal ages— Thou my treasure ever there. tr. Tune [8787D]: also: Hail the Saviour's precious Bible! God's right hand has brought it nigh! Here we learn in lines of glory, How to live and how to die; Here man's awful death is graven In sad Eden's sin and shame; Yet we see life's portals open, Once for all in Jesus' name.tr.
