Dy eiddo wyf O Arglwydd Dduw

Dy eiddo wyf, O Arglwydd Dduw,
  O clyw fy ngweddi brudd,
Dysg imi ofni pechu'n gâs,
  A cheisio'th râs bob dydd.

Dangos di ddaioni, O Dduw,
  A dyrcha'n wiw dy wedd;
Llawenydd gwell na gwin ac ŷd,
  Mwynhau dy hyfryd hedd.

A thra bwyf yn fy nirgel gell,
  Yn mhell o swn y byd;
A'm calon, Arglwydd ac â thi,
 'R wy'n ymddiddanu o hyd.

Talaf i ti fy aberth hwyr,
  A phan orphenwy'r gwaith,
Rhoi 'ngobath ar dy râs yr wyf,
  Tra fyddwyf ar fy nhaith.

Fel hyn yn heddwch Duw, fy mhlaid,
  Y rhof im' llygaid hûn;
A'r hyn a'm gwylia nos a dydd,
  Fydd llaw fy Arglwydd cûn.

Thy own I am, O Lord God,
  O hear my sad prayer,
Teach me to fear sinning detestably,
  And to sea thy grace every day.

Show thy goodness, O God,
  And raise worthily thy countenance;
Joy better than wine and grain,
  Enjoying thy delightful peace.

And while I am in my secret cell,
  Far from the sound of the world;
With my heart, Lord and with thee,
  I am delighting myself always.

I shall pay to Thee my evening sacrifice,
  And when I finish the work,
Put my hope in thy grace I shall,
  While ever I am on my journey.

Thus in the peace of God, my portion,
  I shall give sleep to my eyes;
And what shall watch me night and day,
  Shall be the hand of my dear Lord.

1 O Lord, that art my righteous Judge,
   to my complaint give ear:
  Thou still redeem'st me from distress;
    have mercy, Lord, and hear.

7 So shall my heart o'erflow with joy,
    more lasting and more true,
  Than theirs who stores of corn and wine
    successively renew.

4 Then stand in awe of his commands,
    flee ev'ry thing that's ill;
  Commune in private with your hearts,
    and bend them to his will.

5 The place of other sacrifice
    let righteousness supply;
  And let your hope, securely fixed,
    on God alone rely.

8 Then down in peace I'll lay my head,
    and take my needful rest;
  No other guard, O Lord, I crave,
    of thy defence possessed.
