Duw, mae fy hyder ynot ti,
Rhag fy erlidwyr achub fi;
Fel llewod llarpiant
f'enaid gwan,
Os na chynneli fi i'r lan.
Darfydded weithian,
mae'n llawn bryd,
Anwiredd annuwiolion byd;
Y cyfiawn rai aent yn fyw-fwy,
A'r Ner a'u hamddiffyno hwy.
Gwir Farnydd cyfiawn ywyw Duw,
Wrth yr annuwiol digllawn yw;
Oni thry'n fuan at ei hedd,
I'w erbyn
hoga Ior ei gledd.

God, my confidence is in thee,
From my persecutors save me;
Like lions they will tear to pieces
my weak soul,
If thou do not hold me up.
Let the untruth
or the ungodly of the world,
Vanish henceforth, it is high time,
Let righteous ones go on increasingly,
And the Lord will defend them.
A true, righteous Judge is God,
To the ungodly wrathful he is;
Unless he turn soon to his peace,
Against him
the Lord will sharpen his sword.

1 O Lord my God, since I have placed
my trust alone in thee,
From all
my persecutors' rage
do thou deliver me.
9 Let wicked arts
and wicked men
together be o'erthrown;
But guard the just, thou God, to whom
the hearts of both are known.
10 God me protects, nor only me,
but all of upright heart;
11 And daily lays up wrath for those
who from his laws depart.
12 If they persist, he whets his sword,
his bow stands ready bent;
13 E'en now, with swift destruction winged,
his pointed shafts are sent.
