Dyoddefodd Iesu ing a phoen
  A gofir
      tra bo'r nef;
Boddlonrwydd llawn dros feiau'r byd
  Gaed yn ei angau ef.

Nis gall angylion pur y nef,
  A'u hamal ddoniau hwy,
Byth draethu maint yr haeddaint llawn
  Sydd yn ei farwol glwy'.

Doed y gre'digaeth yn ei rhyw,
  A phob peth byw mewn hoen,
Am iachawdwriaeth dynolryw
  I ganmol Duw a'r Oen.

gwelir: Cydunwn â'r angylaidd lu

Jesus suffered anguish and pain
  Which shall be remembered
      while heaven endures;
Full satisfaction for the sins of the world
  Was had in his death.

Nor can the pure angels of heaven,
  With their manifold talents,
Ever expound the extent of the full merit
  That is in his mortal wound.

Let the creation in its kind come,
  And every thing living in vigour,
For the salvation of humankind
  To extol God and the Lamb.
