Dyeithyr wyf yn teithio
  I fyd o faith barhad,
Dyeithyr a phererin
  O fewn i'r anial wlad:
Rhaid imi groesi'r afon,
  Er maint yw ymchydd hon;
Fy nghysur yw fod Iesu
  I dori grym y dòn.

A stranger I am travelling
  To a world of vast endurance
Aa stranger and a pilgrim
  Within the desert laand:
I must cross the river,
  Despite the extent of this swelling;
My comfort is that Jesus is
  Breaking the force of the wave.
