Dyro olau ar dy eiriau,
Dyro afael ar y gwir;
Dyro inni sypiau grawnwin,
Grawnwin aeddfed Canaan dir:
Hawddach teithio,
Wedi profi ffrwythau'r wlad.
Os mor felys yw y grawnwin,
Er eu cludo
ffordd mor bell,
Yn y wlad lle maent yn tyfu
Dïau byddant lawer gwell:
Gwledd yno
Gawn ar gariad Duw a'i hedd.

Tonau [878747]: |
Grant light upon thy words,
Grant to grasp the truth;
Grant to us clusters of grapes,
The mature grapes of the land of Canaan:
More beautiful travelling,
After tasting the fruits of the land.
If so sweet are the grapes,
Despite their being brought
such a long way,
In the land where they are growing
Doubtless they are much better:
To feast there
We shall get, on God's love and peace.
