Dy gyfraith lân argraffa Di

(Milwriaeth Ysbrydol)
Dy gyfraith lân argraffa Di,
O Arglwydd, ar fy nghalon i;
  A bydded dy ogoniant mawr
  Fy ngofal penaf, bob yr awr.

Gwisg f'enaid yn d'arfogaeth gref,
Yn mhob peryglon tan y nef;
  Dangos dy fod yn ddigon im',
  Yn ngwyneb fy ngelynion llym.

O! bydd dy hunan ar fy rhan,
A dwg fy enaid llesg i'r làn;
  O ddyrys flin
      anialwch byd,
  Gan bwyso arnat ti o hyd.

Pan b'wyf mewn brwydr boeth a blin,
O bydd dy hunan wrth fy nglun;
  Tan gysgod dy adenydd clyd,
  Cadw fi mwy tra bwy'n y byd.

Yn nydd ofnadwy'r farn a ddaw,
O cadw f'enaid gwan rhag braw;
  Rho imi lechu yn dy gôl,
  I drag'wyddoldeb maith sy'n ôl.
Morgan Rhys 1716-79

Tonau [MH 8888]:
Ulm (Sabbath Hymn & Tune Book 1859)
Wartburg (<1875)

(Spiritual Warfare)
Thy holy law imprint thou,
O Lord, upon my heart;
  And let thy great glory be
  My chief care, every hour.

Clothe my soul in thy strong armour,
In all the perils under heaven;
  Show that thou art sufficient for me,
  In the face of my keen enemies.

O be thyself on my side
And bring my feeble soul up;
  From the troublesome, grievous
      desert of the world,
  While leaning upon thee always.

When I am in the hot and grievous battle,
O be thyself at my thigh;
  Under the shade of thy secure wings,
  Keep me evermore while I am in the world.

In the terrible day of judgment to come,
O keep my weak soul from terror;
  Grant me to hide in thy bosom,
  For a vast eternity that remains.
tr. 2025 Richard B Gillion
