Dewch bawb sy'n caru Iesu mawr
Yn awr i feysydd Bethlem;
Cawn glywed lleisiau'r nefol gôr
I'r Iôr yn seinio'u hanthem.
Dyrchafwn glodydd gyda hwy,
Ond llawer mwy bo'n moliant;
Am roi i'r ddaear Geidwad gwiw,
I Dduw y bo'r gogoniant.
Cawn weld ein Harglwydd yn y crud
A doethion byd yn plygu;
Adwaenant ynddo Frenin Nef
A'i seren Ef yn t'wynnu.
Ymgrymwn ninnau oll i lawr
Am rodd mor fawr i ddynion;
Tangnefedd ar y ddaear fydd,
A bywyd rhydd i'r caethion.
O'r preseb tlawd
i fryn y Groes,
Drwy lawer loes y cerddodd;
Ac yno, dan y gwawd a'r cur,
Ei fywyd pur a roddodd;
Ni bu erioed ryfeddod mwy
Na'r dwyfol ddarostyngiad;
Caed cymod trwy
yr aberth drud,
Daeth byd i freichiau cariad.

Tôn [MSD 8787D]: Stettin (Geistliche Lieder 1539) |
Come all who love great Jesus
Now to the fields of Bethlehem;
We may hear the heavenly choir's voices
To the Lord sounding their anthem.
Let us raise praises with them,
But much greater be our praise;
For giving to the earth a worthy Saviour,
To God be the glory.
We may see our Lord in the cradle
And the world's wise ones bowing;
They recognize in him the King of heaven
And his star shining.
Let us too bow down
For such a great gift to men;
Peach on the earth shall be,
And free life for the captives.
From the poor manger
to the hill of the cross,
Through many a pang he walked;
And there, under the scorn and the pain,
His pure life he gave;
There never was a greater wonder
Than the divine abasement;
Reconciliation is had through
the costly sacrifice,
A world came to the arms of love.
