Dal Dy afael Iesu tirion

Dal Dy afael, Iesu tirion,
  Rhag fy nghario gyda'r lli,
Ar y geulan mewn peryglon
  O Dy law, na ollwng fi;
    Byth ni ddaliaf
  Rym y cenllif mawr fy hun.

Paid â gadael i amheuon
  Aflonyddu arnaf mwy;
Dangos imi mai gelynion
  I fy mywyd ydynt hwy;
    Cadw f'enaid
  Yn Dy ymyl, Geidwad dyn.

Cysgod craig mewn tir sychedig
  Fuost imi, Iesu mawr;
A'th ddeheulaw anweledig
  A'm cynhaliodd hyd yn awr;
    Yn Dy fynwes
  Hyd y diwedd, cadw fi.

Ti yn unig yw fy ngobaith,
  Ar y ffordd i'r byd a ddaw;
Paid â throi Dy wyneb ymaith,
  Dyro im' Dy dyner law;
    'Rwyf am dreulio
  Tragwyddoldeb gyda Thi.
Evan Rees (Dyfed) 1850-1923

[Mesur: 878747]

Keep thy hold, tender Jesus,
  Lest I be carried be the flood,
On the bank in dangers
  From thy hand, do not let me go;
    I will never withstand
  The force of the great torrent myself.

Do not let doubts
  Harass me any more;
Show me that enemies
  To my soul are they;
    Keep my soul
  By thy side, Saviour of man.

The shadow of a rock in a parched land
  Thou wast to me, great Jesus;
And 'twas thine invisible right hand
  That upheld me until now;
    In thy bosom
  Until the end, keep me.

Thou alone art my hope,
  On the way to the world that is coming;
Do not turn thy face away,
  Give me thy tender hand;
    I want to spend
  Eternity with thee.
