Dagrau'r Cristion yw y perlau
Goreu geir gan Dduw ei hun;
Mwy eu gwerth na phob trysorau,
Rhed i'w derbyn bob yr un;
Mewn costrelau,
Maent yn nghadw ganddo ef.
Eu cymmysgu wneir â'r dagrau
Gynt a gollai Iesu Grist,
Pan yr wylodd dros dref Salem,
O dosturi calon drist;
Cadw'r dagrau,
Er eu gwel'd o hyd mae'r Ion.
Drwy ei ddagrau gwel y Cristion
Ambell dro ei goron wiw,
Ond fe'i cenfydd yn eglurach,
Pan eu sychir gan ei Dduw;
Dywed wrtho,
Paid ag wylo, wele fi.

Tonau [878747]: |
The tears of the Christian are the best
Pearls got by God himself;
Of greater worth than all the treasures,
Everyone runs to receive;
In bottles,
They are kept by him.
They are to be mixed with the tears
Jesus Christ once shed,
When he wept over the town of Salem,
From the pity of a sad heart;
Keeping the tears,
In order to see them always is the Lord.
Through his tears the Christian shall see
Many a time his worthy crown,
But he will find it clearer,
When they are dried by his God;
Saying to him,
Do not weep, behold me.
