Cofia'r byd O Feddyg da

Cofia'r byd, O Feddyg da,
  a'i flinderau;
Tyrd yn glau, a llwyr iachâ
  ei ddoluriau;
Cod y bobloedd ar eu traed
  i'th was'naethu;
Ti a'u prynaist drwy dy waed,
  dirion Iesu.

Y mae'r balm o ryfedd rin
  yn Gilead,
Ac mae yno beraidd win
  dwyfol gariad;
Yno mae'r Ffisigwr mawr,
  deuwch ato
A chydgenwch, deulu'r llawr –
  diolch iddo!

Remember the world, O good Doctor,
  And its afflictions;
Come quickly, and heal completely
  Its diseases;
Raise the peoples to their feet
  To serve thee;
Thee who redeemed them through thy blood,
  Gentle Jesus.

There is a balm of marvellous virtue
  In Gilead,
And there is the sweet wine there
  Of divine love;
There is the great Physician there,
  Come to him,
And join in chorus, families of the earth -
  Thank him!
tr. 2008 Richard B Gillion
