Clywaf atsain cân y bore,
  Cerdda dros y ddaear ddu;
Dacw wawr y nefol olau -
  Crist yn dyfod oddi fry;
    Aed breuddwydion,
  Cwsg, a syrthni oll o'n bron.

Seren newydd a ddisgleiria,
  Tarfa bob afiachus wŷn;
Oen tragwyddol a ddynesa
  I ddwyn traul dyledion dyn;
    Ceisiwn ninnau
  Bawb mewn dagrau ran o'i ras.

Fel, pan ddelo yn y diwedd
  I amgylchu'r byd â braw,
Na ddisgynno ei ddigllonedd
  Arnom ni sy dan ei law;
    Boed gogoniant
  Byth i'r Drindod ddiwahân.

Golau newydd a ddisgleiria,
  Oddi wrth wyneb Iôr ei Hun;
Crist ein Prynwr a ddynesa
  I ddileu dyledion dyn;
    Ceisiwn ninnau,
  Yn ein dagrau, ran o'i ras.

Fel, pan ddelo yn y diwedd
  I amgylchu'r byd â braw,
Na ddisgynno ei ddigllonedd
  Arnom ni sy dan ei law;
    Ond ein caffael
  Mewn tangnefedd ynddo Ef.

  Clywch yr eglur lais yn glaw
  Dacw lais yn galw'n eglur

I hear resounding the song of the morning,
  It walks across the black earth;
Yonder is the dawn of heavenly light -
  Christ coming from above;
    Let the dreams go,
  Sleep, and stupor all from our breast.

A new star will shine,
  It will drive away every unhealthy grievance;
The eternal Lamb will come near
  To bear the cost of man's debts;
    As for us, let us all
  Seek in tears a portion of his grace.

Thus, when he comes in the end
  To surround the world with alarm,
His disheartening will not descend
  Upon us who are under his hand;
    Let the glory be
  Forever to the indivisible Trinity.

"Cast away the dreams of darkness,
  O ye children of the day."

  Shines upon the morning skies.
