Doethineb Duw yn ei weithredoedd a'i gyfammod)
Clodforaf fi fy Arglwydd ION,
O wyllys calon hollol;
Mewn cynnulleidfa ger eu bron,
Mewn tyrfa gyfion rasol.
Mawr iawn yw gwyrthiau'n Harglwydd ni,
Hyspys i bawb a'i hoffant:
Ei waith a'i iawnder
pery byth,
A'i wehelyth ogoniant.
Yr Arglwydd a wnaeth ei goffâu.
Am ryfeddodau nerthol;
Can's Arglwydd noddfawr yw i ni,
Llawn o dosturi grasol.
Ef i bob rhai a'i hofnant ef
Rydd gyfran gref at fywyd;
Ac yn dragywydd y myn fod,
Côf o'i gyfammod hefyd.
Mynegodd ef i'w bobl i gyd
Gadernid ei weithredoedd;
A rhoddi iddynt hwy a wnaeth
'Tifeddiaeth y cenedloedd.
Barn a gwirionedd ydyw gwaith
Ei sanctaidd berffaith ddwylaw;
A'i orchymynion fyddlawn iawn,
A da y gwnawn eu gwrandaw.
Y rhai sy gwedi eu sicrhau
Dros byth yn ddeddfau cyfiawn:
Gwedi eu gwneuthur oll mewn hedd,
A thrwy wirionedd uniawn.
Anfonodd gymhorth i'r bobl ef,
Cyfammod gref safadwy;
Archodd hyn;
boed i'w enw fawl,
Sancteiddiawl ac ofnadwy.
Dechreuad pob doethineb ddofa
I bawb yw ofn yr Arglwydd;
Da yw dëall
y sawl a'i gwnai,
A'i ofn a sai'n dragywydd.

Tonau [MS 8787]: |
The wisdom of God in his activities and his covenant)
I will praise my Sovereign Lord,
From the will of a whole heart;
In the congregation before them,
In the upright, gracious throng.
Very great are the miracles of our Lord,
Evident to all who love him:
His work and his righteousness
shall endure forever,
And his glorious lineage.
The Lord has made his commemoration,
For powerful wonders;
Since the Lord is a great refuge for us,
Full of gracious mercy.
He to all those who fear him
Gives a strong share of life;
And in eternity he insists on there being,
A memory of his covenant also.
He expressed to all his people
The firmness of his activities;
And give to them he did
The heritage of the nations.
Judgment and truth are the work
Of his holy, perfect hands;
And his commandments very faithful,
And we do well to listen to them.
Those who have kept them
Forever in righteous laws:
After doing them all in peace,
And through upright truth.
He sent help to his people,
A strong, steadfast covenant;
He commanded this;
let praise be to his name,
Sacred and awesome.
The beginning of all deep wisdom
To everyone is the fear of the Lord;
Good is the understanding
of those who would do it,
And fear him and stand in eternity.

1 Praise ye the Lord; our God to praise
my soul her utmost pow'r shall raise,
With private friends, and in the throng
of saints his praise shall be my song.
2 His works for greatness
though renowned,
his wondrous works with ease are found
By those who seek for them aright,
and in the pious search delight.
3 His works are all of matchless fame,
and universal glory claim;
His truth, confirmed through ages past,
shall to eternal ages last.
4 By precept he has us enjoined
to keep his wondrous works in mind;
And to posterity record,
that good and gracious is our Lord.
5 His bounty, like a flowing tide,
has all his servants' wants supplied;
And he will ever keep in mind
his cov'nant with our fathers signed.
6 At once astonished and o'erjoyed,
they saw his matchless pow'r employed;
Whereby the heathen were suppressed,
and we their heritage possessed.
7 Just are the dealings of his hands,
immutable are his commands;
8 By truth and equity sustained,
and for eternal rules ordained.
9 He set his saints
from bondage free,
and then established his decree,
For ever to remain the same;
holy and rev'rend is his Name.
10 Who wisdom's sacred prize would win,
must with the fear of God begin;
Immortal praise and heavenly skill
have they, who know
and do his will.
