Cyfeillion gerais fel fy hun

(Marwolaeth Cyfeillion)
Cyfeillion gerais fel fy hun,
Sy'n myn'n o'm blaen, o un i un;
  'Rwyf fynau'n tynu ar eu hol,
  I fyd na ddeuaf
      byth yn ol.

Pan fyddwy'n rhodio'r dyffryn du,
Rho wedd dy wyneb,
    Iesu cu;
  A dwg fi at y lluoedd llon,
  Sy'n gwledda'n wastad ger dy fron.
wedd :: wên

Casgliad o Hymnau (... ein Heglwys) Daniel Jones 1863

Tonau [MH 8888]:
Llawr-y-Glyn (John Ashton 1830-96)
Windham (Daniel Read 1757-1836)

(The Death of Friends)
Friends I loved like myself,
Are going before me, one by one;
  I myself am drawing after them,
  To a world from which
      I shall never come back.

When I am walking the black valley,
Grant the countenance of thy face,
    dear Jesus;
  And bring me to the cheerful hosts,
  Who are feasting constantly before thee.
countenance :: smile
