Cydlawenhawn,
cyfododd Crist o'i fedd,
Ac ar ein daear
torrodd gwawr o hedd;
I'r lan y daeth,
ac ni all farw mwy,
Mae heddiw'n harddach
am ei farwol glwy':
Mae anfarwoldeb
yn ei ŵyneb ef,
Ac yn ei law
awdurdod ucha'r nef.
Cydlawenhawn,
fe ddaeth angylaidd lu
I'w hebrwng adref
i'w orseddfainc fry:
Mewn cwmwl gwyn
yr aeth o olwg byd,
Ond cofio mae
am Galfarî o hyd:
Ar achub dynion
mae ei feddwl ef,
Ac achub dynion
ydyw gwaith y nef.
Cydlawenhawn,
y mae i ninnau waith
I gofio'i achos
drwy y ddaear faith;
Ac wedi byw
i brofi gallu'r groes
Cawn weld ei annwyl wedd
ar ddiwedd oes:
Mewn gwynfyd pur
cawn ganu "Iddo ef!"
Diolch daear fydd
yn llanw'r nef.

Tonau [10.10.10.10.10.10]: |
Let us rejoice together,
Christ rose from his grave,
And on our earth
the dawn of peace broke;
Up he came,
and he can die no more,
Today he is more beautiful
because of his mortal wound:
There is immortality
in his face,
And in his hand
the highest authority of heaven.
Let us rejoice together,
an angelic host came
To escort him home
to his throne above:
In a white cloud
he went from a world's sight,
But there is remembrance
still of Calvary:
On the saving of men
is his thought,
And the saving of men
is the work of heaven.
Let us rejoice together,
there is work for us too
To remember his cause
throughout the vast earth;
And having lived
to prove the power of the cross
We shall get to see his beloved countenance
for an endless age:
In pure blessedness
we shall get to sing "Unto him!"
The thanks of the earth shall be
flooding heaven.

Let us rejoice,
Christ rose up from the grave,
Declaring peace on earth
and power to save;
Now Jesus lives
and he can die no more,
Made glorious by the wounds
for us he bore:
Now immortality
shines from his face
And unto him is given
heaven's highest place.
Let us rejoice,
for Christ returned to heaven,
And all authority
to him is given:
They saw a cloud
receive him up above,
We celebrate the cross
of deepest love:
Now on his throne
he prays at God's right hand,
That we on earth
firm in his grace may stand.
Let us rejoice,
to us he gives the call
To spread the message of
his love for all;
To bear the cross
and prove his saving power,
Faithful to him
until our final hour:
Then all the power
and glory shall be given
By all to Jesus Christ
in earth and heaven.
