Cydlawenhawn
wrth gofio Duw -
Ef, ein daioni penaf yw!
Ei wyrthiau leinw'r nef a'r llawr -
Efe sy'n gwneuthur pethau mawr.
Mae'n maddeu'n rhad, heb feddwl llai
O ddynion wedi maddeu'r bai.
Ei gariad fel y nef barhâ -
Ni flina byth ar wneuthur da.
Rhoed ini galon i'w fwynhau,
A meddwl iach i lawenhau;
Ac aed pryderon enaid oll
Yn môr Ei gariad byth ar goll!

Tonau [MH 8888]: |
Let us rejoice together
while remembering God -
He is our chief goodness!
His wonders fill heaven and earth below -
'Tis he who does great things.
He forgives freely without thinking less
Of men having forgiven the sin.
His love like heaven shall endure -
Nor shall it ever weary of doing good.
Give us a heart to enjoy it,
And think healthily to rejoice;
And let the worries of a soul get
Lost forever in the sea of his love.
tr. 2024 Richard B Gillion

With gladsome songs
now fill the air
To God our chiefest Joy,
Who worketh wonders ev'rywhere,
Whose hands great things employ.
Who though our way His heart oft grieves,
Maintains a gracious mood,
Remits the pains, the sin forgives,
And doth us nought but good.
Oh, may He give a joyous heart,
The mind from sorrow keep,
And cast all care, fear, grief, and smart
Into the ocean deep.
