Concwerwr yw,
fy Iesu a'm Duw, bob awr,
Clod iddo ef,
trwy'r nef a'r ddaear lawr:
Addawodd fod,
trwy ddwfr a thân o'm plaid,
A'i ddeheu law,
gyflawnai fy holl raid.
Ai seren yw,
a'i nerth yn chwalu'n llwyr,
Y tywyll nos,
a holl gysgodau'r hwyr?
'Rwy'n gwel'd o bell,
ei llewyrch llon trwy ffydd,
A 'nabod 'rwyf,
mai hon yw'r seren ddydd;
Ai haul yw ef?
rhoi llewyrch gras ar led,
Ei gylch a'i wres,
trwy'r anial dir a red:
Cenedloedd pell,
wynebant at y ne',
Gan lawenhau,
pan ymddangoso efe.
Hymnau a Salmau 1840
[Mesur: 4646D] gwelir: Ai seren yw? |
A conqueror he is,
my Jesus and my God, every hour,
Praise unto him,
throughout heaven and the earth below:
He promised to be,
through water and fire on my side,
With his right hand,
he fulfilled all my need.
Is he a star,
with his strength destroying completely,
The dark night,
and all the shadows of the evening?
I am seeing from afar,
his cheerful radiance through faith
And I know,
that this is the daystar;
It he a sun?
shedding the radiance of grace widely,
His circuit and his warmth,
that runs through the desert land:
Distant nations,
they face heaven,
Rejoicing,
when he appears.
