Caed Iachawdwriaeth lawn i'r byd

(God loved the world of sinners lost)

Caed Iachawdwriaeth lawn i'r byd
  Yn ngolud cariad Duw,
Cynygir prynedigaeth ddrud,
  Yn rhad i ddynolryw.

    O'r fath ras! anfeidrol ras!
      I Dduw fy ngharu i;
    Y cariad ddaeth â Christ o'i fodd
      I farw'n Nghalfari!

Trwy ffydd, ein rhan yn awr yw Crist,
  Yr Hwn gyfododd Duw,
Ei waed sydd ffynon i'n glanhau -
  Ein Prynwr anwyl yw.

Cael profiad byw o gariad Crist
  I'r galon, yw y fraint
Sy'n troi caethiwed pechod blin,
  Yn rhyddid i'r oll saint.

Eneidiau ffyddiog, llawenhewch,
  Rhyw flaenbrawf heddyw yw,
O'r wir orphwysfa eto sydd
  Yn ol i bobl Dduw.

Er gwaethaf Satan a'i holl rym,
  Ac eithaf brenin braw,
Cawn law yr Iesu yn y glỳn,
  A'i gwmni'r ochr draw.

Tôn [8686+7686]: God loved the world
    (William G Fischer 1835-1912)

gwelir: Mor rhyfedd fawr yw cariad Duw

A full Salvation was got for the world
  In the wealth of God's love,
A costly redemption is to be offered
  Freely to humankind.

    Oh such grace, immeasurable grace!
      That God love me;
    The love brought Christ willingly
      To die at Calvary!

Through faith, our portion now is Christ,
  The One whom God raised,
His blood is a fountain to cleanse us -
  Our dear Redeemer is he.

to get to experience living from Christ's love
  To the heart, is the privilege
Which turns the captivity of grievous sin,
  Into freedom for all the saints.

Souls strong in faith, rejoice,
  Some foretaste today is,
Of the true rest which is still
  Left for the people of God.

Despite Satan and all his force,
  And the utmost king of terror,
We may have the hand of Jesus in the valley,
  And his company on the far side.
tr. 2012 Richard B Gillion
God loved the world of sinners lost,
  And ruined by the fall;
Salvation full, at highest cost,
  He offers free to all.

    Oh 'twas love, 'twas wondrous love!
      The love of God to me;
    It brought my Saviour from above,
      To die on Calvary!

E'en now by faith I claim Him mine,
  The risen Son of God;
Redemption by His death I find,
  And cleansing through the blood.

Love brings the glorious fullness in,
  And to His saints makes known
The blessèd rest from inbred sin,
  Through faith in Christ alone.

Believing souls, rejoicing go;
  There shall to you be giv'n
A glorious foretaste, here below,
  Of endless life in Heav'n.

Of victory now o'er Satan's power
  Let all the ransomed sing,
And triumph in the dying hour
  Through Christ, the Lord, our King.
