Brynwr mawr, er mwyn y groes
A dyfnderau dwyfol loes,
Er mwyn ing
dy gariad drud
Ddug ddoluriau anwir fyd,
Pob hunanol nwyd glanha,
A phob nefol ddawn cryfha;
Yma nawr cymhwysa ni,
Brynwr mawr, i'th gofio di.
Yn y bara, yn y gwin,
Dyro brawf o'th rasol rin;
Gan i ti ordeinio'r wledd,
Paid â'n gadael heb dy wedd:
Wrth dy gofio, Brynwr cu,
Cofio'r cariad mwyaf fu;
O am fyw bob dydd i'th glod
Hyd nes iti eto ddod.

Great Redeemer, for the sake of the cross
And the depths of divine anguish,
For the sake of the agony
of thy precious love
That bore the sorrows of a false world,
Every selfish passion cleanse,
And every heavenly talent strengthen;
Here now make us fit,
Great Redeemer, to remember thee.
In the bread, in the wine,
Give a taste of thy gracious virtue;
Since thou didst ordain the feast,
Do not leave us without thy countenance:
While remembering thee, dear Redeemer,
Remembering the greatest love there was;
O to live every day to thy praise
Until nearer to thee again coming.
