Bendigedig fyddo Duw
Am fy nghofio,
Trefnodd imi Brynwr byw,
Diolch iddo;
Ganwyd imi Ddwyfol Frawd
I'm gwaredu;
Pwy arddelai euog tlawd?
Neb ond Iesu.
Denwyd fi i anial wlad
Colledigaeth,
Gwerthais hawl i dŷ fy Nhad
Am farwolaeth;
Pan oedd llid y byd a ddaw
Yn taranu,
Yn y storm ni welais law
Neb ond Iesu.
Llawenychaf yn Ei ras
A'i drugaredd,
Rhoddodd imi brofi blas
Ei dangnefedd;
Pan fo daear wedi hyn
Arnai'n cefnu,
Ni ddisgwyliaf yn y glyn
Neb ond Iesu.
Blinais ar bleserau'r byd
Yn ddigysur,
Gwagedd yw eu swyn i gyd
I bechadur;
Pwy a rydd i'm henaid ffol
Destun canu,
Ac a'm dwg i'r Nef yn ôl?
Neb ond Iesu.

[Mesur: 7474D] |
Blessed be God
For remembering me,
He arranged for me a living Redeemer,
Thanks unto him;
Born for me was a divine Brother
To deliver me;
Who would own a guilty poor one?
None but Jesus.
I was drawn to the desert land
Of loss,
I sold my right to my Father's house
For mortality;
When the wrath of the world to come was
Thundering,
In the storm I saw no hand
Of any but Jesus.
I will rejoice in his grace
And his mercy,
He granted me to experience a taste
Of his peace;
Whenever the earth after this
Turns its back on me,
I will not expect in the vale
Any but Jesus.
I wearied of the world's pleasures
Uncomforted,
Vanity is all their enchantment
To a sinner;
Who shall give to my foolish soul
A theme to sing,
And bring me back to heaven?
None but Jesus.
