Af ar ol yr Apostolion

(Bedydd)
Af ar ol yr Apostolion
  Aeth yn ffyddlon o fy mlaen,
Y rhai gladdwyd yn y dyfroedd
  Fel gorch'mynodd Iesu glân;
Rhai yn Ainon gerllaw Salim,
  Rhai yn yr Iorddonen fawr,
O! am nerth i barchu geiriau
  Brenin nef a daear lawr.

Draw yn afon yr Iorddonen,
  Gyda thòriad nefol wawr,
Y bedyddiwyd ein Pen Cadben,
  Gyda thorf aneirif fawr;
Yno llefodd Tad y deyrnas,
  'Fe'm boddlonwyd ynddo Ef;'
Codir miloedd
    o'r tomenau
  'N etifeddion teyrnas nef.

Af ar ol yr Apostolion
  Aeth yn ffyddlon gynt o'm blaen,
Ac a gladdwyd yn y dyfroedd,
  'N ol gorchymyn Iesu glân;
Rhai yn Ainon gerllaw Salim,
  Eraill yn Iorddonen fawr,
O! am nerth i barchu geiriau
  Brenin nef a daear lawr.

Draw yn afon ddofn Iorddonen,
  Gyda thòriad nefol wawr,
Y bedyddiwyd ein Pen Capten,
  Yng ngwydd torf
      aneirif fawr;
Yno llefodd Tad y deyrnas,
  "Fe'm bodlonwyd ynddo Ef";
Codir miloedd o'r dyfnderau
  'N etifeddion Teyrnas Nef.

Edinburgh (alaw Gymreig)
Vesper (alaw Rwsiaidd)

(Baptism)
I will follow the Apostles
  Who went faithfully before me,
Those who were buried in the waters
  As holy Jesus commanded;
Some in Ainon near Salim,
  Some in the great Jordan,
Oh, for strength to respect the words
  Of the King of heaven and earth below.

Over in the river of the Jordan,
  with the break of heavenly dawn,
Was baptised our Chief Captain,
  With a great, unnumbered crowd;
There the Father of the kingdom called,
  'I am pleased with Him;'
Thousands are to be raised
    from the dung-heaps
  As heirs of the kingdom of heaven.

I will follow the Apostles
  Who went faithfully before me,
And who were buried in the waters
  According to the command of holy Jesus;
Some in Ainon near Salim,
  Others in great Jordan,
Oh, for strength to respect the words
  Of the King of heaven and earth below.

Over in the river of the Jordan,
  with the break of heavenly dawn,
Was baptised our Chief Captain,
  In the sight of a great,
      unnumbered crowd;
There the Father of the kingdom called,
  "I am pleased with Him";
Thousands are to be raised from the depths
  As heirs of the Kingdom of Heaven.
