Awn i'r Ysgol Sul yn llawen

Awn i'r Ysgol Sul yn llawen,
Awn yn fore i lwybrau Duw,
Gyda diolch yn ein calon
  Am mai'r Ysgol orau yw.

Ynddi cawn y Beibil gwerthfawr
  A'i ryfeddol eiriau Ef;
Dysgwn ynddi'r ffordd i gerdded
Trwy y byd yng ngolau'r nef.

Ni gawn glywed llais yr Iesu,
  Gyfaill gorau plant y fyd,
Wrth gofleidio gynt rai bychain
  Yn croesawu'r plant i gyd.

Wrth ei weled yn y preseb
Ac yn marw ar y pren,
Nid rhy gynnar yw i blentyn
  Roddi'r goron ar ei ben.

Awn i'r Ysgol Sul yn llawen,
Awn yn fore i lwybrau Duw,
Gyda diolch yn ein calon
  Am mai'r Ysgol orau yw.

Let us go to the Sunday School joyfully,
Let us go in the morning to God's paths,
With thanks in our hearts
That it is the best School.

In it we have the precious Bible
  And its wonderful words;
Let us learn in it the way to walk
Through the world in the light of heaven.

We get to hear the voice of Jesus,
The best Friend of the world's children,
By embracing small ones long ago
  Welcoming all the children.

On seeing him in the manger
  And dying on the tree,
It is not too early for children
To put the crown on his head.

Let us go to the Sunday School joyfully,
Let us go in the morning to God's paths,
With thanks in our hearts
That it is the best School.
tr. 2025 Richard B Gillion
