Na foed it dduwiau ond Myfi,
Addoli Un yw'r gamp i ti;
Cerfiedig ddelw na fyn chwaith,
Ni ddaw dim elw o dy waith;
Nid oes un ddelw ddyry les,
A llwydd ni ddaw o honi'n nes
Paid a melltithio: mae'n ddi-rym,
Ac arnat ti
daw'r gosbyn llym;
Addola Dduw, santeiddia'i ddydd,
A pharch a phurdeb iti fydd;
O anrhydeddu'th dad a'th fam
Dy foes a gedwir yn ddi-nam;
Y mawrion dyro iddynt barch,
Cyflawna'n rhwydd eu teilwng arch;
Na ladd, mae hawl i druan fyw,
Pob bywyd cysegredig yw;
Na wna odineb: gyrfa lān
A chysur sydd yn ddiwahan;
Ac na ladrata: drwg yw'r gwaith,
Ni ddwg i'th fywyd
fendith chwaith,
Ar gam-dystiolaeth tra'n y byd
Na ddyro byth dy serch a'th fryd;
Gan gelwydd mae adenydd chwim
I'th godi'n uwch,
ni thycia ddim;
Na chwennych eiddo arall byth,
Neu drain gofidiau ddaw i'th nyth;
Wrth garu Duw a dyn bob awr
Dy eiddo a fydd bendith fawr;
O gadw'r teg orchmynion hyn,
Dy oes fydd hardd
a'th barch yn wyn.

gwelir: Na foed it dduwiau ond Myfi (Dafydd Jones) |
Have no gods except Me,
Worshipping One is thy achievement.
A carved image do not seek either,
No profit will come from thy work;
No image shall give benefit,
And no success will come from claiming nearer
Do not curse: it has no force,
And upon thee
shall come the sharp punishment;
Worship God, sanctify his day,
And thou shalt have reverence and purity;
O honour thy father and thy mother
Thy manners shall be kept faultless;
The great give to them reverence,
Fulfil readily their worthy command;
Do not kill, the wretch has a right to live,
Every life is sacred;
Do not commit adultery: a pure career
And comfort are inseparable;
And do not steel: evil is the work,
It will not bring to thy life
any blessing either,
On false-witness while in the world
Do not put thy affection and thy intent;
From lying there are swift wings
For thee to rise above,
it will not achieve anything;
Never crave another's possessions,
Or the thorns of grief will come to thy nest;
Through loving God and man every hour
Thy possession shall be a great blessing;
O keep these ten commandments,
Thy lifespan shall be beautiful
and thy reverence white.
