Pwysigrwydd Pethau Bychain

Peth pe dywedai'r defnyn gwlaw,
  "Un bach fel fi ni lwydda
I ddiodi'r ddôl sychedig draw,
  Am hyny tanaf yma."

Beth pe arhosai yn yr haul
  Ei holl belydrau nerthol,
Am na all un ei hunan bach
  Ddim creu dydd araul siriol!

Pob defnyn bach cyfranu bydd
  I wneyd y dwys gawodau,
A phob pelydryn i wneyd dydd,
  Ac i brydferthu'r blodau.

What if the drop of rain said,
  "A little one like me will not succeed
In giving drink to yonder thirsty meadow,
  Therefore I shall sprinkle here."

What if all the sun's
  Strong rays stayed in it,
Since a little one on its own
  Cannot create a cheerful bright day!

Every litte drop shall contribute
  To make the intense showers,
And every ray to make a day,
  And to beautify the flowers.
