Bydd onest yn mhob peth

Bydd onest yn mhob peth,
    fy mhlentyn bach mwyn,
Ystyria mai pechod
    ysgeler yw dwyn;
  Mae'r hwn sy'n lladratta'r
      peth lleiaf erioed,
  Yn sathru gorchymyn
      ei Dduw dan ei droed.

Bydd cywir, fy mhlentyn -
    bydd wrol yn hyn,
Dal at y gwirionedd
    yn gryf a digryn;
  Bydd ufudd i'th rhiaint,
      paid byth a rhoi cam
  Rydd un math o ofid
      i'th dad neu dy fam.

Bydd ddiwyd, my mhlentyn -
    os diogi a wnei
Fe ddywed y Beibl
    mai tlodi a gei;
  Ac uwchlaw y cyfan,
      fy mhlentyn bach, clyw,
  Yn d'holl weithrediadau
      bydd ffyddlon i Dduw.

Y Delyn Aur 1868
Be honest in everything,
    my dear little child,
Consider that the a wicked
    sin is stealing;
  He who steals the
      least thing ever, is
  Trampling the commandment
      of his God underfoot.

Be true, my child -
    be brave in this,
Stick to the truth
    strongly and unshakably;
  Be obedient to thy parents,
      never do wrong
  Do not give any kind of grief
      to thy father or thy mother.

Be diligent, my child -
    if lazy thou shouldst be
The Bible says
    that poverty thou shalt get;
  And above all,
      my little child, hear,
  In all thy activities
      be faithful to God.
