WARNING...I'm currently in the process of updating my page...

I HAVE AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE!¡!

No, I'm not single!¡! Sorry guys, but I have found the bestest boyfriend in the whole world!¡! He is so sweet, nice, smart, silly and cute!¡! Oh and did I mention he always makes sure I have pretty flowers and a smile on my face along with lots of other fun prizes! yay! Check us out!¡!

Ko, now that we have that clear, Welcome!!!!! I have been so busy lately, I hadn't changed my page forever, and now I'm having trouble deciding what stuff to keep and what stuff to get rid of. So right now you are lucky and get my whole life story, including all my stuff about high school! *L* BUT ANYWAY, it is almost July and I'm excited about starting my senior year in a couple of months at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where I am majoring in Occupational Therapy. This year I will again be an RA in our residence hall where I get to watch over lots of fun girls!¡! I'm also the student coordinator for the Under-Ground Knitters, and a memeber of the Student Occupational Therapy Association, and Pi Theta Epsilon (Occupational Therapy Honor Society.) Don't forget about classes somewhere in there too!¡! I'm very excited about becoming an occupational therapist and especially thankful that I get to attend Mount Mary, so if you have any questions about either of those two things, just ask!¡!

Here are some things about me. (Click Here)Also feel free to check out my pictures, which for most of you is all you probably want to see anyway!¡! Click Here!¡!

Okay, well everyone is always asking me, "What are you interested in, or what do you like to do for fun?" and I have a hard time answering this question, because I don't really know how to explain myself...I'm a very complicated person if you can't already tell!¡! :) But my main goal in life is to make people smile, and have a positive impact on those people I meet in life. But what I can do is tell you about some of the things I enjoy and maybe that will help you figure out more about me!¡! My favorite thing to do is talk...imagine that!! I love talking not only so I can talk about what's going on with me, but also because I love listening and helping other people feel better about their day, their lives, or whatever is bothering them!¡! But besides talking I also love shopping, Express is my favorite store. But I have to stop shopping, because I have way more clothes then I could ever wear!¡! *L* Besides my addictions to talking and shopping and shoes, oh yes I'm not allowed to buy any more shoes, because I have WAY too many of those also, but anyway! I also am addicted to television. A few of my favorite shows include, Friends, ER, Dawson's Creek, Real World. During my freshman year I joined a group of girls and one of my professors that knit. Yes, they taught me how to knit, I didn't think I could do it, but I'm whipping out wash cloths and working on a blanket, which will take me the next forty years, but I have also finished some scarves!! I think I've made like 6 or 7 now, I've lost track! Oh yeah, last Christmas I got a sewing machine! I'm so excited I have no clue how to sew but I'm trying to learn...so far I made some pillows and my friend Kelly taught me how to read a simple pattern for pajama pants...I have made many pairs, more than I know what to do with!! :) Another bonus to going to Mt Mary is that fashion is the most popular major and people can teach me how to sew!! ;) *L* Besides all those things I really enjoy reading things that have meaning. Now I know you are thinking well what does that mean? Okay, let me try to explain myself...for example, I've been working on reading a book recommended to me by my Philosophy professor Shannon, who is the neatest lady ever, the one who taught me to knit, but anyway back to my story, the book is called, "Ethics for the New Millennium", by the Dalai Lama. And in addition to that book, in a class I took called Search for Meaning, which was also taught by Shannon ;) I read a book called, "Man's Search for Meaning" which is by Viktor Frankl. I really enjoy books like these or anything inspirational, even if it just a quote, because it really puts things in perspective. Often in a world and society as advanced as ours we forget to be thankful for all we do have, and enjoy the simple things in life. So as Oprah says, "Remember your spirit." And as I say, "Don't forget to smile!!"

So if you can't tell I LOVE quotes!! I have quotes everywhere!! My favorite all time quote is by Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." I used that in the speech I gave at my high school graduation to introduce our guest speaker, which was our favorite teacher, student council sponsor, and our class sponsor who moved away after our sophomore year. So currently I'm working on getting all my quotes into on place and getting it online. When that happens, it will be right here...

Okay another thing people are always asking is, "What kind of music do you like?" Okay well to summarzie that all up here are like six of my favorite songs right now *L* This will also just prove how silly I am, and how I don't like just one type of music! *L* =) Songs of the Moment

Let's see here, more about me!¡! I was born and have lived in Northwest Indiana (an awesome town called Valparaiso about an hour outside of Chicago) all my life except when I'm at college now of course. I graduated from high school on June 11th, 2000 with an Academic Honors Diploma, Indiana CORE 40, and I was inducted into my school's Academic Hall of Fame. I went to a pretty small high school, of about 550 people, and so I was super involved!¡! I was a member of many clubs all of which I really enjoyed!¡! I was very active in Student Council and was class treasurer for two years. My senior year, I was secretary of the whole student council and helped plan a spring leadership conference for elementary students. I was a member of National Honor Society, which I was treasurer of. I was also a Peer Facilitator, where I planned and coordinated a middle school share group where myself and 25 others presented workshops to 8th grade students. We focused on such topics as teamwork, different personality types, how our words and actions affect others, dating, and even sexual harassment. I also helped coordinate all scholarships that came into our guidance office, I tutored students, and I helped with many other important things. In the past I have been in S.A.D.D.(Students Against Destructive Decisions), Spanish Club, and Teens United for Ethnic Awareness.

If you can't tell I'm very proud of all my acomplishments, I like to think of myself as being a good person who can be a positive role model to others. Hopefully as you are reading this you don't think I'm bragging too much! ¡! =) One thing I love doing is being a leader if you haven't noticed!¡! Not only do I love to lead I love to have a positive impact on others. In all my service activities I have had the opportunity to share my ideas and views with thousands of younger people. I know that I can't change everyone in the world, but I feel through the work I do, I have left an impression and hopefully had a positive influence on them!¡!

If you can't already tell I love working with children, so where else would be a better place to work, then to work in the child care department of the YMCA!¡! I have been working for them since August of 1998. During the school years in high school I worked for the Y.M.C.A. at my school's elementary!¡! I was site director and was in charge of anywhere from 2-8 kids each night until about 6:30. This was such a great job for me because I got to work with kids; and I got paid for it!¡! =) I love my job very much!¡! During the summer I work for the Y.M.C.A. at a day camp called Adventure Days. Each day we take kids on a field trip, for example, the movies, the beach, the zoo, and things like that. It is so much fun, and all the kids are super!¡! And everyday is a new ADVENTURE!¡!

Ok let me think is there anything else I haven't told you?! Hmm... Oh yeah there are bunches of things!¡! I'm an only child and yes most people say I am spoiled, but oh well!¡! =) I was always on the Honor Roll in high school, I made the Dean's List freshman year, but haven't gotten there yet this year, but I have a 3.5 GPA, (despite our brutal grading scale) I have 2 dogs, and 2 cats. Umm... my favorite color is PURPLE, but I also like blue and green with purple. Umm... I love my computer but I'm on the Internet way toooooooo much!¡! I also have AOL IM my screen name is Jessi Sue2 and MSN messenger Jessisue28@hotmail.com!¡! Umm...I also collect many different things, elephants are my main thing, but I also like Anne Geddes' photography, purple irises (those are my favorite flowers), and snowbabies. So don't ever say you didn't know what to get me for my b-day, which is May 28th, BTW.
