My Baxter Family

My great-great grandfather. Frank R. Baxter was born in Ireland in 1848. His father was born in Ireland and his mother was born in Scotland.
He married Mary J. Mathis, daughter of Samuel Mathis and Sarah J. George, on October 25, 1879 in Warren County, Indiana. Mary was born in Indiana, her father in Pennsylvania and her mother in Ohio. Their known children were;
Dora M. Baxter b. February 14. 1881.
William J. Baxter b. November 12, 1882.
John S. Baxter b. October 7, 1884
Margaret Baxter b. June 17, 1889.

Dora M. Baxter was the daughter of Frank R. Baxter and Mary J. Mathis.
MRS. DORA M. DOYLE DIES IN LAFAYETTE


Frankfort, Times Sunday May 25, 1952 Dora M. Doyle Dies in Hospital Mrs Dora M. Doyle, 71, former Frankfort and Mulberry resident died last evening at 7 o'clock at the Home hospital in Lafayette. She had been ill for some time. Born in Illinois February 14, 1881, she married George W. Doyle who died in 1938. For the past year she had been living with a son, Oliver in Dayton. Other survivors include a second son, Ernest of Mulberry; four daughters, Mollie Thompson of Indianapolis, Margaret Maxwell of Lebanon, Dorothy Klingman of Mulberry and Lucille Hill of Kokomo; a brother, William Baxter of Lafayette. She will be interred in Fair Haven cemetery following services from the Kleinsmith funeral home at 2 p.m. The Rev. H. Earl Moore will officiate.
