My Plastic Surgery Experience

Talk about RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY!

After losing about 165# after my weight loss surgery, I am on my way to becoming a totally new person - AGAIN!

On May 22, 2002, Dr. Jerrold Laskin transformed my flabby, burned out lookin' bod into something that would look more like a human form and less like a shar-pei dog... not to mention fit better into my clothes.

It's so hard to believe that I used to weigh 315#. I was wearing a size 6x men's T-shirt, which was super long but tight around my belly. I couldn't fit into my 350# husband's jeans! My waist was like, 63 inches around.

February, 2003
Now, I can often wear a size SMALL top, although my bra size is about a 36-38 DD, so I often have to get a medium just to fit "the girls" comfortably. I can wear size 6 in some dresses, although 8-10 is usually more comfortable. I will never, EVER be a super-model, nor would I WANT to be - but I am very happy with how normal my body looks in clothes now. My 16 year old daughter says I'm a "hot mama"... and my husband has not yet been able to collect his tongue from off the floor (LOL)... As of this writing, it has been 9 months since this plastic surgery, and I couldn't be happier. (click on thumbnails to view pictures full-size)

Before: Front view. Look at all that flabby tummy and floppy boob skin. Yuck!

Side view, before...

Close up... first day home after surgery...

Front view, about 1 week post-op...

Breasts, ~ 1 week post-op...

Front view, 1 1/2 weeks post op - right after first check-up when staples were removed...

6 weeks post op... look at how big I am around the rib cage? Excess fluid? Or am I stuck with this? Yuck!

10 weeks post op, things are looking better!

I think they're lookin' good! Not a great picture, clarity-wise... it was taken by my webcam...

Not bad for an old lady (LOL)...

... especially considering what I started with!
