Quote of the week:
------------------
Vallamai tharayo - indha
maanilam payanura vazhvadharkae
solladi sivasakthi - nilach
sumaiyena vazhndhitap puriguvaiyo.
- Bharathiar
(vallamai - power; maanilam - nation; nilach sumaiyena - as burden to
the land)
Kural of the week:
------------------
Solludhal yaarkkum elidhu ariyavaam
solliya vannam seyal.
(elidhu - easy; ariyavaam - it is tougher; solliya vannam - as told;
seyal - action)
(Meaning) It is easier to tell (advice) anybody, but it is tougher to
stand by that.
Do you know why?
----------------
All of us know that the first alphabet - in Tamil is 'a', in English
'A' and in Hindi also 'a' (the phonetic sound). But, have we ever thought
(wondered) why is it like that - all languages start with the same phonetic
sound ('a') for their first alphabet - though form of the letters may difffer.
(If anyone has a view on this, please let me know.)

The above url is the home page of the great, living, physicist,
STEPHEN HAWKING - the author of 'A brief history of time'. This homepage is not
