TIME IN GONDAR
The
Calendar of Gondar is based upon a year much like that in the western christian
calendar.
There are six
seasons in a year:
- The Dying (winter)
- The Greening (spring)
- Copernica (The first summer during which the sun Coper
reaches is summer solstice)
- The Calm (The first autumn period which is traditionally
marked by calm, still, cool weather)
- Heletica (The second summer during which the other sun
Helios reaches its summer solstice)
- The Ashen (The second autumn)
Within each season there are two
months and thus there are twelve months in the year:
