SPECIAL MEN ONLY
According to this doctrine, which is inspired by the enemy, only certain special people really knew the Father. Abraham, Job, Moses, Adam, Enoch, David, Paul, and the prophets in the Old Testament are some of the people whom the church teaches had special qualities, which made it so they could know God. This doctrine is at the root of many others and although it appears to be innocent, it has serious consequences. It is sometimes said that men from the Scriptures heard God in an audible voice, as though that makes any difference. The Father can speak any way that He chooses. If God speaks, He speaks. What difference does it make if it is audible or not? Each person on earth has a spirit, and we were each created to know God, who is a Spirit. Whether He speaks to our spirit, or speaks audibly to our natural ears, we should each seek Him out, until we find Him, hear His voice, and know Him.
Every human being was created to know the Father. He desires "whosoever will" to come to Him. This means every person in existence, if each would come. Every man should be able to hear Him, because every man (and woman) was created to hear Him. This doctrine, claiming that only special men really knew God, separates the lambs from Jesus. The lambs do not expect to know Jesus themselves, nor do they expect Jesus to speak to them. God is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him, and this reward is Himself. Those who seek Him, shall know Him personally. He created each of us personally. He died for each of us personally, and He wants us to know Him personally, just as well as we know our husbands, and brothers, and children, and parents, and friends.
The worst aspect of this doctrine is that men believe they know Jesus whether they do or not. Ask yourself these questions: Do you know your mother or father? Of course you do. You know what they like to eat, what they think is funny, and what kind of person they are. Do you know Jesus? What is He like? What does He say to you? When is the last time you heard Him laugh? Often people quote verses from the Bible to show what God is like. The Bible is true, written by the Holy Spirit through men who did know Him. However, those verses only show that the writer of that Scripture knew Him. What do you know of Him?
It is because of this doctrine that many will appear before Jesus, at the end of this age, saying, "I did miracles in your name" or "I preached in your name" etc.. Jesus will reply to them, "I never knew you." Because the church does not know Him, they have come up with a doctrine excusing themselves from knowing Him. With the enemy's influence, this doctrine has been allowed to flourish. Men who do not know Jesus at all, but consider that they are serving Him, will not listen when He tries to show them while they are still on earth, that they don't really KNOW Him. Many believe He exists and pray to Him, and some try to serve Him, yet they do not know Him, nor recognize His voice for themselves.
You not only can know the Father, you must know Him. There are no special requirements to having a relationship with Him. You come to Him, by grace, through the blood of Jesus, and He welcomes you. Then seek Him out, in His throne room, on bended knee until you hear from Him. You can trust Him, He WILL speak to you. This is what He desires of each human being in existence. It is why we were created - to know Him and to become His beloved bride.
