The Best of the Best in

The - Files

Here is a collection of all of the X-Files related sites that I feel best serve the purpose of the category under which they are named herein. This is to help you efficiently find what you're interested in. Some sites may fall under more than one category. All links are up-to-date as of 11.11.99.

Rings and Swaps:

Rings & Swaps: Every X-Files webring and banner exchange that I belong to is listed here. Browse it and see if anything looks interesting. You'll never know what you may run into! Foreign sites, little-known spoiler sites....Oh, the possibilities!

Official Sites:

The X-Files - The official series site has been redesigned and is now updated very often. The design could be better, but it's faster and more easily navigable, and has a whole lot more than ever before. Check it out!

X-Files Videos - A Shockwave site that has all the episodes that are released on video archive. Within this site is what they call the "Mythology Matrix" which has interactive games.

Fightthefuture.com - A Shockwave site that I will forever remember because it was put up in the summer of '98 to promote the first X-Files movie, and every week a new graphic was added to the main page, as we waited for June 19th to get closer and closer. I might add that this site is a bit noisy as well. :-)

The X-Files FTF - A Shockwave site that is quite a sight! It's the second of the Fight the Future official sites. This one is more colorful and has a lot more, like character bios, cast and crew bios, and multimedia. I love it!

Information/Spoilers:

Rohan's X-Files Realm - Updated daily. I check here every day. You can perform an easy keyword search of the site to find what you're looking for. It's got spoilers, news, multimedia, discussion boards, an episode guide, character bios, info., links....You name it, it's here. This place is loaded! It's also easy to find in your favorite places on Microsoft Internet Explorer. Save it as a favorite and you'll see why. ;-)

HFTFBIMU - That stands for "Haven for the F.B.I.'s Most Unwanted." It's also updated daily, and if the show is featured in an E.T. segment or GA/DD is interviewed somewhere, they'll usually have a clip, pictures or at very least a transcript of it the very next day. .HFTBIMU has a slightly different style/approach than Rohan. I'd say it's more girly. It's a shipper site.

Spoilerville - Very up-to-date, and completely dedicated only to Spoilers. This is where everyone sends their inside info. on what'll happen next (and after that, and after that...) on The X-Files.

Tiny Dancer's X-Files Episode Guide - Self-explanatory. I love this site because it's a great reference. There is an X-Files timeline, scripts/transcripts, spoilers, and an extensive sound clip collection.

The Alph - The X-Files alphabet book. Trust me, it's a lot cooler than it sounds. It's an Australian site that alphabetically lists the definitions of commonly-used X-Files related terms. It's a very useful thing, when you think about it, because of the fact that people who don't watch The X-Files often report that when they listen to others talk about it, it's like we're talking in a different language. In a way, that's true. Lingo is an important part of Philedom.

The Alph also has this Real Audio episodic commentary that I really love called "Agree to Disagree." But the thing is, this site hasn't been updated in nearly a year, because it's host is overloaded by traffic from the site, so now they're currently looking for a new host. I do hope they get it up and running again this year.
