My daughter!

Tuula Kaarina Andrews

So, I have this beautiful daughter with my wife, Heta, and this little girl is some seven months old. She is a little ahead in her development in terms of sitting and moving about. She is trying to learn how to stand. She tries to eat paper, and won't touch her food... this she prefers to play investigative games with, and spitting it all over by blowing raspberries with it. This is excellent fun, but it's messy! Hee-hee! We'll try and get a photo of her scanned and posted here. But for now, you just get text! :)

Well, since the last paragraph was written, she has grown up into a crazy little two year old!!! She has some strange language games that she plays, but I love to watch her when she does things like drawing... she has an advanced thing with that, in that she's not supposed to be able to do that!!! :)

When she dances (she loves music... especially Finnish band Ultra Bra whose song HAUKI is a particular favourite!!!!

Tuula, my daughter, is now 2 years old, and she has discovered that you can mess about with language... in Finnish, we have a thing called case ending. They correspond to prepositions and stuff... and she came out with (amongst many others!) a corker... in Finnish, "shop" is KAUPPA, and to say "from the shop", we lose on of the Ps and add "-sta" to the end of the word... giving kaupasta, and we also have an ending for when we begin to do something... like, we say "menen ostamaan" if we're going to buy something... well, Tuula decides that one case ending isn't enough for a word, so she came up with "kaupastamaan"!!!!!!!

This is probably the dying point of the Finnish language as we know it!!!!!
