Stadium Proposal

This isn't the best site but bare with me I started this site on March 1, 2005 and will continue to add on to this site untill the construction is finished, and hope to put the final brick in on this project before the year 2025.

I am proposing to build an athletic/entertainment stadium near Sterling/Rock Falls area, like the Mark of the Quad Cities, but bigger. This may sound like a impossible task to do, but our community is continually growing and will grow even more by the year.

Not only just a stadium but a 24/7/365 Tourism attraction. How you say? I plan to have a radio station setup so it precisely sycronises its multiple kinds of music to a massive number of lights and fireworks on top of and around the stadium. People tune in to the radio station and the lights and fireworks put on an amazing display.

Please give your thoughts on what you think of the construction of a sports/entertainment stadium. Please only vote if you live in Northwest Illinois. I know I will get some people that will strongly disagree with this plan because they might think they will have to pay for the stadium themselves, but I will try everything not to let that happen, everything.

Please sign my guestbook and give your thoughts. Also please vote if you live in Northwest Illinois.

Now why would a town like Sterling/Rock Falls need a stadium?

Half of all single-game tickets sold at games (that is, all but the season tickets) are sold to people living more than 50 miles away. Which boosts tourism by astronomical numbers. Which increases economy for Sterling/Rock Falls.

Out-of-town fans are likely to spend a night in a hotel and more inclined to buy souvenirs. That has an economic impact, to be sure.

The greater impact may be the tendency of such people to view the home of their favorite team as their town, too, even though they live hundreds of miles away. Which may lead to more people to move to the Sterling/Rock Falls area.

People acknowledging that they share a common region and the teams’ city is the center of it.
