Illinois 165 is a short route connecting a few small towns just east of the Bloomington-Normal area. Its shape is like an "L" rotated 90 degrees clockwise.

Illinois 165 only intersects IL9 at its western end...

...And IL47 at its eastern end.

It passes through these towns: Colfax, Anchor, Sibley, Cooksville.

If using IL9 eastbound to get to IL47 use IL165 for a little added straightness toward your destination, though the plant on IL47 on Gibson City's north side has a sign that says "__ days without an accident" or something like that. It's hilarious to pass by.
