Hello. My name is Sara and welcome to my webpage. I am a 21 yr old female from Syracuse, NY. I just wanted to make this little webpage so I could write about my experience with cancer, or my journey thru Hell. It is kinda just a way to vent. Who knows, I might even help someone going thru something similiar. Also, I have way too much free time on my hands. This page will constantly be under construction because my thoughts on this kinda change weekly.
It all started on October 23, 2002.
Ten days after my 20th birthday, I was diagnosed with burkitts lymphoma. Burkitts Lymphoma is a very aggressive cancer that can kill very quickly, if left untreated. The chemo is extremely strong, and generally works. It presented itself as a huge tumor in my abdomen, mostly covering both my small and large intestines, an ovary, and I think there were a couple spots on my liver. Seven rounds of intense chemotherapy, and 8 spinal taps later, I am in remission, meaning the cancer responded to the treatment.
