2//5//03 // Began work on the site today. Originally I started on dreamwater but despite that cheery word 'free', you still seem to have to pay a refundable $5, & combined with the fact that its all HTML I decided to give dreamwater the finger, sorry guys. Sooo, next I browsed through old geocities & tripod accounts, hell I even checked through good ol' moonfruit, anyway it basically lead back to here on angelfire, god bless'em. Sorry angelfire staff, your stupid web addy is too damn long, so combined it with the power of .tk we should see sum awesome.. well, brilliance. This whole web building thing is givin me a helluva time, my reserves are running low, with 5 tinnies left and 4 asperin I think I'm gonna have to pop out to the shops. Currently i am in debate whether or not to put up a hits counter just for a laugh, they make me giggle. Also putting links down the side of the page just, bewilders me, its so damn confuddling I just give up hope.
As for the band, yeah we're still on the hunt for a bass player, Dave plays bass (quite well may I add) but we're looking for a seperate one so Dave can dance around without having a 6 string behemoth strapped around his neck. So far our eyes are on the ginger guy from Crib/Give No Quater or Abby's friend Kev/Kez who is also suppose to be cool. Hey, we also got into Zero One, and its about god damn time they updated the site! Seriously we've been waiting nearly a month for something which was suppose to be up like a day after the original auditions. Comiserations to Saved By Katie who unfortunately flopped the first time round, oh well, dont give up! In other news our west midland cousins The-Fight are still rockin around the USA, you can check em out at www.the-fight.co.uk , note that they have actually swapped their scary red font, for somewhat disturbing pink text. I have alot of respect for these guys/gals except for the fact that I dont really like them very much. Infact Dave almost got a smack by sum random punkist a few months back for saying he didnt like the band, quite funny. Ok, maybe I am just jealous, too be quite frank, the only one I dont really like is Matt Vale just caus he pointed out *coughs* that I have tits *cough* at the Rock Caff when they played their final 'good bye we're off to the US' gig. Infact the only reason he said it was because he wanted to make the crowd laugh because they were actually stinking the place out. K8! is cool from what I hear, I would love to meet her, the rest of band I have no opinion on, but they cant be that bad. But god damn you Matt! You heartless bastard! Infact I heard from anonymous sources the other days that only K8! has been signed up to the record company, to have the rest of the band signed up they have to sell as many CD's as Avril Lavigne did with her first single. 3 - 1 + 635 = jacksh!t - better luck next time girls! Admittedly they are just abit more famous than us, but nevermind. I am giving these guys/gal too much stick, they pulled their weight, and despite the fact they suck they did quite well for themselves. Did you know that the woman who runs the Ice House is actually a judge for Zero One? I dont mind the others, but I just KNOW that she hates me.. Her voice on the god damn answer machine just gives me the fuck!n sh!ts. Lil, I aint mentioned him, he's fine, he got told off by, err, Chris Jones in our feedback from Zero One that he drums too fast, its strange because he cant actually drum solo at all, I think he tried to hit as many fuck!n symbols as he can in one beat. On a higher note, I went to the Rock Caff the other day and mysteriously found 4 Ft Fingers playing, I, actually didnt like it, except the song about the gypsies - "tell them fuck!n gypo's to keep their thievin hands to themselves etc etc" good fun. Right now i'm hooked on Bother by Stone Sour, Dave likes Evanascence, and Lil is still in rehab from going to a Less Than Jake concert. Unfortunately with these stupid fuck!n exams coming up soon, practising is gonna be hard, however, Dave's lyrics are coming out of his ears, Lil drums to stay alive and i'm still gettin in my ol' 4 hours a day practise, thats 20 hours a day left, minus 6 and half for school, 9 for sleeping, thats 4 and half hours of fun traveling, eating and killing things. Welcome to my life. Infact scrap the fun stuff, replace it with revision. Uhhh, i keep telling myself to go to the Proffesional Music Technowledgy (however its spelt) center in Birmingham (a.k.a PMT) but for some reason I can never find the time. I'm trying to get my slimeless hands on one of those damn transmitter jack leads, so if anyone has any ideas how much they are then drop me a line, grazie.
Anyway, 4 days left of school til we leave forever.... YAAAAAAAAAAY! God I cant take it much longer, frankly everyones got these damn leavers books, but I dislike that many people I really cannot be bothered too waste my money. Lil's away on holiday, in... you guessed it, Wales! Again. So hopefully when we get back we'll begin work on our Level-2 version tracks. I cant believe we were gonna record last year, we must of had nearly 30 different songs, now with our greatly improving skills and proffesional sounding quality, we just redid a few and came up with a grand total of 6. Deadlight still stays, Some Day, Firebaby (I hope), a gentle one, a heavy one, the one we fucked up at in our first Z1 audition, an even heavier one, and one with alotta bass. Cant wait, if all goes well we'll record in the 12 weeks we have free, thats 3 months to become mildly successful. Anyway, I have to get back to actually making the damn site, so i'll cya soon...
