This is *not* my creation! It was on a blog named "The Cliffs of Insanity" created by a person pen-named Alvie D. Zane (a pen name obviously based on "auf wiedersehen") who self described as "Christian, Veteran, Smart-aleck, Freedom lover, Zero Percenter, RIFLEMAN" and all rights belong to that individual.
I found it linked in an article which some years ago. At the time the blog had been deleted and I had to find it on the wayback machine (http://web.archive.org/) and it has become harder to find since then.
This blog post is a great reference for what is going on during attempts to communicate with our friends on the American left. Over the years the information here has illuminated much of the dark corners in discussions with leftists in my life and much of the article has been true and helpful.
In light of that usefulness, my thanks to the original author, and here it is to be of use to others.
