So obviously we have almost 2 full inches of space coming out of the case...not to mention the caseing on the back panel had to be trimmed to let the CRT port be exposed.
So here's what we do...the top needs be trimmed and covered for the gfx card not to be exposed and maintain airflow.
Now after cutting the top plate of the case, we covered it with a simple plastic leg from a cabinant to cover the card and taped it down with sticker duct tape. After we refit it on top to check for fitting problems, we used simple black spraypaint to match it with the case.
Okay so here's the finished product. This is what happens when you redneck it together!
After running the PC for a hour of hard grinding...the case's airflow is still low and our CPU is running at a cool 87% F.
