Cryptozoology (The Study of "Hidden Animals") was delighted to hear rumors of the so called "The Myakka Skunk Ape". An anonymous letter was mailed to the Sarasots Shefiff's Department on December 22, 2000 with a woman pleading that the proper authorities deal with a large Orangutan that had escaped. She was very shaken and was skeptical it was an ape. Newspapers in Florida, our good friend Art Bell, and other radio programs during mid-February, decided to talk about the Myakka Skunk Ape photographs. The hope is that the woman photographer will be identified. On April 8, 2003 Loren Coleman (Experienced Cryptozoologist) relesed a book entitled "Bigfoot!: The True Story of Apes in America" which explains how these Skunk Ape photos were captured and covers the entire search for this creature. In the meantime, meaningful analyses of the eyeshine, the pupil diameter, the dentition, the tongue, hair color, and exhibited behavior of this apparent primate is taking place
