"You punch like a girl."

Ororo turned from the punching bag to find Logan standing behind her. She dropped her hands and reached for her towel. "I didn't hear you come in."

"You weren't meant to," he replied as he watched her dry her face.

Ororo dropped her hands to her waist as she turned to face him. "What do you have against me."

Instead of answering, Logan reached for the punching bag.

"Oh, I see. Scott took Jean out to dinner and you decided to share your charming personality with me," Ororo continued. "However, I have dealt with a class room full of children all day, I am not in the mood to deal with an over-grown child."

"Over-grown child?" Logan growled.

"You have been cold to me since the first day you arrived while I have bent over backwards to be your friend. You are rude, obnoxious, and a male chauvinist pig."

Logan crossed his arms over his chest and smirked at the blue-eyed beauty.

"What's wrong, 'Ro? Can't take constructive criticism?" As soon as the words were out of his mouth, Logan realized that he had pushed Ororo too far. The air suddenly charged with an incredible flow of electricity as he watched her eyes gloss over. A loud boom of thunder rocked the stately mansion as the sound of lightening ripped through the sky above. However, just as suddenly as the storm appeared, it suddenly vanished. A single tear fell down her face.

"Well, you succeeded. I hope you're happy." Without waiting for his response, she walked out the door.

Logan knocked softly on Ororo's door. A muffled go away was the response. Ignoring the response, Logan opened the door to Ororo's attic loft. Just as her classroom, her bedroom was filled with a multitude of plants. The only light in the room came from the moon shining in from the skylight. Ororo lay curled on her bed.

"I didn't mean to be such an asshole earlier," Logan said as he shut the door behind him. Ororo sat up and brushed her hair from her face. "I should not have responded the way that I did. And Goddess knows that anger only creates more anger. I said some horrible things to you, please accept my apology."

Logan shook his head in confusion. "I don't understand you. I acted like a jerk, and you're apologizing to me."

"Perhaps that is where our problem lies, we simply do not understand each other," Ororo said. "Would you like to sit down?"

"You sure you want to risk your reputation?" Logan joked as he sat on the bed besides her.

"I won't tell if you won't." Ororo laughed before turning serious. "Logan, how much do you know about me?"

"I know that you can control the weather." He looked around her bedroom. "You definitely have a green thumb." He stopped to sniff the air. "And that you smell like sandalwood."

"When my powers first manifested, I destroyed an entire village. I lashed out in anger, and many suffered because of it. The slightest change in my emotions affects the weather around me. So I must constantly keep my emotions in check or risk harming everyone around me."

Logan shifted uncomfortably on the bed. "The professor said that you were once worshipped as a goddess."

Ororo stood up and held out a hand to Logan. "That my friend is a story for another time." She smiled shyly at him. "And if you're a good boy, next time I might tell you about my life as a thief."

"Kicking me out already?" Logan asked as Ororo led him to the door.

"Actually, I'm dying for a swim in the lake. You're welcome to join me, but I have to warn you" Ororo said as she lean forward to smile in his face. "About what?"

"I always swim nude," she laughed as she shut the door in his face. "See you at the lake in five minutes," she called through the door.

Logan laughed as he ran down the steps. Joining Chuck's team might have it perks after all.
