Ororo sighed blissfully as she completed her laps in the pool. Soothing whale music was playing in the underwater stereo system, giving the whole area a feeling of serenity. "Ah, this is bliss…" She thought, diving beneath the waters.
Logan rang the doorbell, nervous beyond comprehension. He was just going to ask her out for coffee, then if she said no, he could go home. If she said yes, he'd kick Jubilee's butt for getting him into-
"Hello sir. My I help you?" A woman greeted him at the large, ornate glass door.
"Uh, yes…Does Ororo Munroe live here?" He asked, starting to feel uncomfortable.
"Yes she does Mr.…"
"Masterson. Logan Masterson."
"Very well, Mr. Masterson, she does. If you'll follow me, I'll take you to her." She smiled and stepped aside, allowing him into a foyer. The woman led him out into a large lobby, onto a vast stone patio with steps leading down to what was most likely a pool.
"Wait here sir." The woman said, walking down the stairs and out of sight.
Logan sat down in one of the chairs, and looked out over the cliffs that were on the far left of Ororo's property. He could see the ocean, stretching forever to the horizon.
He smiled gently. She had great taste, he had to admit. He was thrown from his thoughts by the return of the woman that showed him in.
"If you'll kindly wait one second. Ms. Munroe will join you after she emerges from her swim."
"No prob. I can wait." Logan said. She smiled and left the area.
Ororo sighed and grinned. He was here, and it took him only two days. Her heart was hammering in her chest as she walked up the steps. When her eyes crested the landing, her breathing slowed. There he was, sitting nonchalantly, yet he seemed nervous. She smiled. He really was a handsome man. She was taller than he, but she was used to that. He was wearing a polo shirt stretched across his very broad chest. His arms were unbelievably thick, ending in strong fingered hands. His legs looked powerful, thick and muscular encased in jeans.
"Hello Logan. It's good to see you again, and under better circumstances." She smiled at him and made her way over in sandaled feet.
Logan almost dropped his jaw. She was wearing a sky blue bikini with clouds on it, making her seem as if she were wearing the sky itself. Her waist length hair laid wet around her shoulders, looking incredibly silky and soft to the touch. He stood up fluidly and smiled. "Yes, I prefer this situation a lot more."
"I must admit, I'm surprised to see you here. I didn't give you my address." She motioned for him to sit as she took the chair beside him.
"Well, ya didn't. I recalled where you had me drop you off, and when you went inside, only one set of lights came on. After talking to someone who told me to call her Kitty, she gave me your address, and told me good luck."
Ororo burst out laughing. "Oh Kitty… Well Logan, you've found me.?"
"Ah, thank you. Well, what do you want with me?"
"{A long, vigorous sex session…} I wanted to know if you um… wanted to go and have coffee some time?"
Ororo cocked her head and looked at him. "No, I'm sorry."
Logan couldn't prevent his face from falling. "Well, I'm sorry fer wasting your time…" He stood quickly, gathering his leather jacket.
"I would much rather go dancing. I mean, if you don't mind…"
She smiled.
Logan's grin almost split his face ear to ear. "I don't mind at all. Where and when, and I'll be there."
Ororo stood, a large smile adorning her face as well. "How about The Stiletto? On Thursday, about eight forty five."
It was only Tuesday, how was he supposed to wait that long?
He'd go crazy. "Sure, perfect. I'll see you then Ororo, but I've got to get back to work. It took most of my lunch break to work up the courage to talk to you."
"Logan, flattery seems second nature to you."
"Only when the recipient is worthy of so much more." He said gruffly.
She only smiled and rose. "How about I show you out?"
"Thanks." Logan said, ushering for her to go first. She gave him another beautiful smile and took the lead, her gracefully swinging hips driving him mad. Unable to control it any longer, he involuntarily hardened, thanking God he was carrying his jacket.
They reached the door and Ororo turned back to him and smiled. "I look forward to our date. " She said a bit shyly. "Me too. I'll call you beforehand, to see if you want to cancel." He said graciously.
"Don't' worry about that Logan. I wouldn't miss it for anything in the world.
"Well, okay then. Bye." Logan left then, because if he stayed any longer, he would do or say something extremely stupid.
Ororo watched as he walked to his convertible. "He moves like a wolf…" she realized as she closed the door. Once closed she smiled again and jumped up and down. Collecting herself, she ran up to her room. She had a date…a date with Logan. For the first time in a while, she was happy.
