"Jubilee, I don't know what to do." Logan professed bleakly. "Logan, you're falling for her, duh…" The beautiful seventeen year old Asian said over a slice of pizza. They were at The California Pizza Kitchen, having a nice lunch.
"I know, but I've only met her twice, and talked to her once." He poked an uninterested finger in his cheese, spinach, and garlic chicken pizza.

Jubilee sighed. "I don't care. She's a step up from Jean, that's for sure." She smiled at Logan's threatening glare. "what?! You know I don't like her."
"I don't care…I loved her."
"Did you? Even if you did, did she love you?" No answer. She forged ahead. "I don't like seeing you hurt, and no matter what she did, or who, you took her back."
If I'm smart then I'll run away
But I'm not so I guess I'll stay

"So? Why do you mettle so much Jubes?" He kidded softly.
"I might only be your niece, but I have inherited a ton of your genes…" Jubilee smiled. "So, are you going to ask her out?"
"Yeah. I can't get her out of my mind." Logan took a sip of his soda.

"Good. You need to get your mind off of Jean for a while." She stood up suddenly. "What do you think of my outfit? Is it too revealing?"
She was wearing a blue tube top with a fishnet shirt over it.
A pair of khaki short shorts completed her totally Californian look. "It's too revealing." He said gruffly.
"No it's not."
"Jubilee, you're only fourteen."
"Seventeen."
"When we're in public, you're fifteen."
"Oh for goodness sakes. Can you drive me back to class?"
"Your lunch is over already?" Logan looked at his Rolex.
"Yeah, I gotta finagle a better grade form a teacher." She smiled as Logan stood.
"Okay, yeah, I'm ready." Logan paid the bill and they walked to his convertible. Driving her to Beverly Hills High School, he was strangely quiet. Jubilee regarded him closely.
"You better not chicken out Logan." She said as they pulled up.

"Dude! With Jean and with asking out this woman…"
"Whatever. Get out of my car juvenile delinquent. Logan smiled as Jubilee grinned and kissed his cheek.
"Bye man." She scrambled out of the car and into the school.
He sighed and dejectedly rested his head on his steering wheel.
