Ok everyone, the last time they did an investigation they found alot of things. i am going to post it on here so here goes nothing:

I have some results from the Petersburg Investigation. This is from what some people have reported to me so far. It was an overwhelming decision that there is definitely something going on at that house. Let me start at the beginning. Almost everyone that signed up for the investigation was there. We all met at the designated area outside of Petersburg. From there we traveled in a line across the river and up a hill through trees (reminded me of The Blair Witch Project) and then down the hill across a set of RR tracks. As our cascade turned onto the road infront of the house, Kenny shined his spotlight upon the house giving it an eerie glow. As our cars moved closer, shadows from trees danced across the exterior of the house as if it was beckoning for us to come in. After we all entered the house one of our sensitives (Debra H.) immediately felt a large presence behind her. That was enough for her. She found a place on a couch and stayed there, quietly observing the haunting activity. Several things took place during the time we were there. I noticed some people were quite comfortable sitting in the living room where a sense of safeness was felt. Other people were on the go looking for any evidence of paranormal activity. One other member (Jennifer B.) said she felt there were many spirits there but one seemed to be the leader and protector of the residence. She saw a shadow, shortly after the investigation began, of what appeared to be a very large man with a limp go into a room. He spent a lot of time in this room throughout the night. At one point the emf meter was reading measurements off the scale only to be silent seconds later in the same place. Mike A. and Heather P. had thermal meter readings in a hallway in the basement that made it appeared as if the spirit was passing in and out of it's beam. It was hard to tell if there were actually cold spots because a big portion of the house was not heated. There were times when other members (Ryan R. and Jennifer H.)saw spirits standing on landings and moving from one room to another. At that time we could see our breath. At one point of the evening Jennifer B. and I were in the basement talking and I had just spoke out to the spirits and asked them to show us a sign that they were there when Jennifer's left pant leg raised up just above her sock. I witnessed that myself. Right after that a group of people came in and we were standing there telling them what had happened with her pant leg when a table lamp, the base made of concrete and hidden under an ironing board, fell over towards us. Jennifer B. was also poked three consecutive times in the back as a group of them walked through the north wing basement area. Thinking it was the person behind her, she turned around to see what he wanted. Before she new it they were all making tracks back to the safety of the main floor. Three screams in a row were heard and some members were out of sight investigating, so many of us took off looking for them. We finally found them on the second floor. They didn't know what we were talking about. They hadn't heard the screams. Cheryl W. picked up what sounds like "Get out" on her tape recorder. It also sounds as if someone repeats her name several times. Although it sound good it can't be proven because of all the people passing by her recorder. Shiloh took a picture that looks as if three forms are in it. He also got a picture that he says has mist or fog in it. I haven't seen it yet so I can't explain it to you. I didn't get anything on my camcorder. The tape kept rolling when I played it back. I did get what sounded like a female's voice on my tape recorder when Jenny commented about the ironing board being in a different place. Aaron actually laid it down because it was standing unnaturally, freaking him out. I spoke with Terri T. this evening to see if she survived the raid. She said after we left all kinds of things happened up to 4:00 am. They were getting into bed after we left when it sounded as if heavy furniture was being dragged in the room below their bedroom. There is no furniture in that room. They heard shouts and screams. Sounds of pounding permeated the air. At 4:00 am it all stopped. All total, I think it was a good investigation. I thank all of you, who gave up their Saturday evening, for spend it with us. We will discuss it further at our next meeting. Take care, Debbie Lowery Springfield Ghost Society

Profiles of Residents at Shamel Manor, Petersburg Presented to me while interviewing a lady who worked there during the 1970’s 1. Charlie- Very large, 6’ 4”, 250-260 lbs, solid, very burley – was mentally ill. a. Janitorial type b. Room was on main floor, 2nd room on the left. Only man’s room on this floor. c. Scary looking in a way d. Very Protective e. Always joking with someone telling them to “Get Out”. f. Talked on his ham radio in his room.

2. Petie – around 60 yrs old with a 14 mo. Old mind. He pounded his fists on things a lot to get attention.

3. Sidney – Was a pain in the a--. Would stomp his feet to get attention. He could not speak and made a lot of gutteral sounds. Always eating out of the garbage or the bath soap. Pounded on the floor. He was hard of hearing. Had grand mal seizures.

4. Ima Jean – Little jolly lady around 50 – 60 years old. Laughed a lot. Mind of a 1 yr. Old. Fat, short and grey headed. Loved dolls, they were her babies. Any time laundry was done around there, she made sure her doll’s clothes were washed and then she would iron the clothes. Took care of her dolls like they were real babies.

5. Brian – Adult with a babies mind. He had Multiple Sclerosis, couldn’t stand upright very well. Had a very twisted body. For fun, he would crawl up to you and pull your pant legs up and pull your socks down. Then he would laugh and say “Brian is a bad boy”. He always talked about himself in the third person. “Look at Brian”, “Hug Brian”. If you would kick at him when he pulled your sock down, he would start screaming like someone hit him with a whip.

6. A man who’s name has been forgotten would steal the girls underwear and hide them behind the tank in the bathroom on the 2nd floor. In the middle of the night he would get up and get the underwear and take them back to his bed and lay there and rub the underwear between his nose and his lip. He was told several times not to do this and was bought silk and satin ribbon as a substitute but it didn’t work and he kept doing this.

7. Artie – Very protective of all the women. He would take his finger and shape it like a gun and tell everyone his was the sheriff.

7. Hazel – Always told people she was telling her sister on them. She like to steal nice clothes too.

The 2nd floor was reserved for the men’s bedrooms. The main floor had the women’s bedroom’s, plus Charlies. The basement had the kitchen, dining room, beauty shop, laundry, classroom and storage rooms. Considering the mentality of the residents it would not be surprising to find the cabinets and draws in the kitchen opened. They would like to get in there and open and close cabinets repetitiously. There were several residents afraid of the dark. Sometimes the residents played tricks on each other by turning off lights to scary them. Lights being turned on could be because of the fear of the dark. Residents loved repetitious things. They had several pound o’ pegs there. Residents would pound on these for long periods of time. They had several big rubber bouncing balls that they would bounce a lot.
